The BBQ is the centerpiece of your outdoor kitchen; when choosing a grill it is important to consider both its function and its design. Here you can cook for your closest friends and family, from casual dinners to fancy summer evenings. To create an impressive outdoor kitchen, you need a grill that's both stylish and durable, big enough to cook for a large crowd, yet compact enough to fit in your space.
Buying a grill can be overwhelming. There are many different models and choosing the right grill is not always easy. Convenience is always the number one priority when choosing a device like this - you don't want to have to worry about whether you can use it or not! That's why we created this guide to help you choose the best grill for you. We hope you find it useful!
Below is a list of some of the available models:
The charcoal grill
The charcoal grill, a true classic, has come back into fashion due to the special flavor it gives to food. Manufacturers offer models with a number of attractive features: modern looks, improved performance, solid construction, convenient work surfaces and storage options, better wood loading options, larger ash catcher and a propane lighter. It is light and therefore ideal for camping. Some models have an adjustable flue that speeds up combustion the further the flue is open, much like a heat regulator. An integrated thermometer helps you keep an eye on the temperature. Charcoal is available in pieces or as briquettes. Charcoal sticks are easy to light and heat up quickly. Briquettes are more difficult to light and last much longer, making them ideal for frying. The height of the grate can usually be adjusted, as can the tray under the charcoal briquettes. Models with a round lid ensure better heat distribution.
The barbecue grill is one of the most popular devices in the garden or on the balcony. With it, you can prepare delicious dishes outdoors while enjoying the fresh air and the sun!
The gas grill
Gas grills are easy to use; they heat up quickly and the temperature is easy to control. Food and marinades retain their flavor. Gas grills can only be used outdoors. Their use may be prohibited in certain places and in residential buildings.
A gas grill is an outdoor cooker that uses gas to heat and cook food using a burner system. Most models have a burner pot that holds around 45 liters of water, which is used to generate steam and keep the food moist during the cooking process.
Propane is the most common fuel for grills, although some models also run on natural gas or even electricity. Propane cylinders can be refilled at gas stations, while natural gas must be installed by a licensed installer. Another advantage of the gas grill: there is hardly any smoke when grilling the meat. It is therefore also suitable for tenants.
The electric grill
The electric grill is an ideal solution for small spaces as it can be used both indoors and outdoors. The compact model is perfect for one or two people, while the larger model can accommodate up to four people.
The electric grill uses a heating element instead of charcoal to cook the food. This means there is no smoke and no burning of fuels, making the food prepared with this grill healthier than other models. The only downside is that the cooking time is longer than with a gas grill.
With an electric grill, the grilling season can be extended all year round as it can be used both indoors and outdoors: an excellent choice for apartment and house dwellers. Eco-friendly electric grills use a heating element to heat the grill directly. In addition, they do not produce much smoke.
